How To Be Confident

There’s no such thing as confident or unconfident people. Confidence is not a fixed personality trait, it’s always moving up or down depending on a host of internal and external factors. Factors that you can influence.

One of the best ways to build your confidence is by doing the things that your insecurity tells you not to.

To face your fears.

After all, by giving in to your fears you’re telling yourself that you’re unprepared and inadequate. Not exactly a confidence boost.

But if you confront your demons, your confidence will slowly grow. Because even if you fail, the scared voice in your head will recognize that you survived to fight another day.

Suddenly the demons don’t seem as dangerous as they used to. Scary maybe, but not lethal.

So go out there and do the things you’re afraid of.

P.S. Don’t try to be confident all the time. That’s a wasted effort. Only a fool would confidently take off in a helicopter without training. That’s why you want to pick a handful of situations that you want to feel confident in and embrace feeling insecure about all the other stuff.
