A Wellrounded Person

You can have access to the most extravagant commodities imaginable:

Private jets.
Homes the size of palaces.
Food coated in truffles, caviar and gold leaf.

But if you have no interest in the other worldly, you will grow tired of it. Because once you have everything, you have nothing else to do.

Conversely, if you are only concerned with the spiritual, others will grow tired of you. Because a person who renounces worldly pursuits, lives in a reality scoured clean of luxury. There is no colour in living the life of a monk.

Bring the material and spiritual together, however, and you will not grow bored of life and it won’t grow bored of you.
