Worst Advice For Writers

“Write what you know.”

Why would you want to be confined just to the little you know?

You can’t write about space, cowboys or big scary dinosaurs. And everyone is basically your doppelganger.

Doesn’t sound like it’d make for a best seller.

So let’s give the old adage a facelift: don’t limit yourself to what you know, write about what you’d like to know.

Your curiosity will likely propel you toward the truth. Or as close to it as you can.
