For Crying Out Loud!

Life doesn’t always go the way we hope.

Maybe you’re a musician who can’t score a record deal.

Maybe you’re auditioning for a part and the director stops you mid sentence to tell you to quit acting.

Maybe you’re sloppily spreading jam onto a piece of toast and it hits the ground jelly side down.

Major bummer.

But if you’re hungry for a toasted jam sandwich, you better make another one.

And if you want your professional projects to succeed, you keep at it too.

The knack of success lies in grit: fail enough and you eventually win.

But in order to reach the finish line, you have to be able to keep playing.

Scraping your knees on a daily basis is not game over. It’s shattering your legs once.

If you’re not succeeding yet, you’re either not failing enough or failing so hard you can’t go again.

Your job is to figure out how to stay in an industry and keep going forward.
