Leverage Your Strengths, Know Your Weaknesses

Dwelling on mistakes is one of your mind’s favourite pastimes. Fumble a handshake with someone you just met and that’ll be what your mind fixates on, even though you had a pleasant conversation with plenty of laughs.

This impulse to focus on the negative can wreak havoc on your confidence and wellbeing.

Thankfully, the opposite is also true.

Focusing on your strengths does wonders for our health and happiness.

Rather than feeling upset that you’re not a charismatic genius with an infallible handshake, you can embrace the limits of your abilities and use them as best you can.

It’s the only way to maximize your talents. Plus, you can always find friends, colleagues, and a partner who can balance out your shortcomings.

Nobody expects you to be a perfectly balanced individual. So stop trying.

Instead, find out what you’re good at and work on increasing your strengths a little every day.

P.S. Don’t be afraid to explore your weaknesses, it can be a lot of fun. Just don’t expect to fix them.
