World’s Deadliest Organisation

We’re always looking to chase a good thing and avoid a bad thing. Progress is what we’re after. But this seems to be a human quality.

The flowers, for instance, do not seem to be competing with themselves. Roses aren’t concerned about blooming faster, growing larger, and smelling sweeter than the year before.

What would be the point?

Not that there has to be a point, but many of us race after our ambitions as if there is one. And that’s not entirely harmless.

If achieving your dreams is absolutely crucial, you’ll likely obsess about your goals and lose sight of the rest. But if you dream for the fun of it, both the chase and life’s countless other marvels will be enjoyed.
